"Apartment", "department" or "floor"?

I am creating items that have to do with the TV series Friends. Very soon will do an article about the place where he lived Chandler Bing and Joey Tribbiani. I should like to know how to describe the place: Â ¿ "apartment", "department" or "floor"? I hope you know what I am talking about and that can help me. Thanks in advance. In Spain the right thing to do would be flat or floor, although floor is all apartameto himself as each of the floors of the building, that is saying a building with 12 floors to refer to a stage that is 12 regardless of how realtor many apartments or flats has in each of these plants. Departments are being used in America, here we find strange. If the case of apartment is just as strange for them the right thing in this case Pier .-- would use floor (my mailbox) 00:39 July 26, 2005 (EST)
In Spanish of Spain was never associated the word "department" with this meaning, but rather as a section of an institution or something similar, so I think it should be used any of the other two. What would be yours now wikipedista some South American state whether we are more comfortable with "flat", "flat" or leaving on a tangent and simply say "home" (at worst). In Mexico, however, never associate the word floor with the concept of condominium housing, but with plants or levels of a building, "first floor", "second floor" and so on. People are buying luxury condos at Barton Place condominiums where there are great Austin Condos the Barton Place condominiums offer amazing amenities I think that apartment would be easily understood by readers of all Spanish-speaking regions. In any case, if we do not achieve a consensus here would suggest you use the word that you become more familiar, meaning that what the reader may infer from context of the article. - real estate Balderai (comments) 01:06 July 26, 2005 (EST)

I'm going to use "apartment". Is the word that I have been using in the articles. Thank you. - Xatufan (Complaints here) 01:30 July 26, 2005 (EST)
In Argentina, "floor" is incomprehensible (to be used only to describe the floor of the building, never a housing unit), and "apartment" is very strange. The only description is condominiums normal "apartment". Since elsewhere that fails, Â What is this "housing? Tarago ¼ iand # 160; @ 12:04 July 26, 2005 (EST)
It could be a good idea, but they actually live in a building, and "housing" sonaria me to live in a house. But if you give me your support, uses. Â What is your opinion? - Xatufan (Complaints here) 14:58 July 26, 2005 (EST)
Well, by the opinions expressed here is unclear that any of the three terms used to be an exotic group of readers. Housing seems to me too vague, so we reiterate my suggestion: use the term to you that you become more familiar. - Balderai (comments) 16:57 July 26, 2005 (EST)
In Peru, Bolivia, Argentina, Colombia and Ecuador (not if, in Chile) Flat is similar plant. Use apartment to avoid confuiones. - Huhsunqu [Â What?] 18:31 July 26, 2005 (EST)
Chile is used in the department. Floor apartment and are strange. - JorgeGG 23:33 July 26, 2005 (EST)
This goes for users Argentines (Pilaf, Taragui ...): I know the lyrics of a tango that says you put pisito Maple, piano, and velador mat ... and describes what is on the floor or pisito, ie in the apartment ... maybe it is a term already in use, but it got there ... Peru is used in the "department", which can be on the floor 15 of a total of 20, for example. Manuel Gonzalez and Franco Olaechea 15:53 July 27, 2005 (EST)
Good point of the Manuel. In Peru, Chile and Argentina distinguish the floors or floors of a building (This building has 10 floors). and departments on the floor. (Department 405 of the floor 4). Department also is used as an administrative division in the organization of a company or organization and not just in college. - JorgeGG 16:15 July 27, 2005 (EST)
I tell you that the tango to which you refer is called "A half-light" and if, when I was a girl at 70 is also said to semipiso floor and apartments they occupied the entire floor of the building, plant or half respectively.
